Type of Data we collect, how we collect it and how we use it

This all depends on why we’re in contact with you!  We’ve outlined the situations in
which we would expect to collect data starting with the simplest!  

Visitors to our Website:
When someone visits www.bookpackrelax.com we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. Newsletter, Special Offer Sign Up and Contact Forms
As part of the registration process when you sign up for newsletters, special offers or complete our Contact forms we collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.


Customers who have hired or wish to hire our lodge
We only collect personal information that we consider necessary to be able to hire a lodge to you.

• your name, 
• contact details (address, phone, and e-mail);

• in person, over the telephone or by written correspondence;
• on hard copy forms (including booking forms, competition entry forms and surveys);

·        processing your hire with us, including quotation, booking and servicing of your hire

·        helping us improve the quality of our products and services
·        carrying out analysis and customer profiling
·        sending you communications which you have requested or that may be of interest to you.

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations. We will hold your personal information for a period expiring 7 years after the end of your hire.    This does not affect your ability to remove your email address from our general mailing list which you can do at any point by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter or by emailing us info@bookpackrelax.com

Site Cookies are used and essential to the operation of this website.  These are usually set when you first visit the website and are deleted when you close your browser.

You are entitled to see the personal information held about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. If you wish to do this, please contact us at info@bookpackrelax.com. We do not raise any charge in providing you with details of the information we hold about you, but we may raise a charge where such requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of their repetitive character, we may either charge a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or communication or taking the action requested or refuse to act on the request.

Can I ask you to delete my information?

The answer to this depends on why we’re holding your information. For most people absolutely, yes, you can ask us to delete your information and we will be happy to do so.    However, there are instances where we are required by law to retain some information, such as customer details for those who have hired from us. 


Some information you have provided is necessary for us to keep and use in order to carry out our services.   If you are hiring a lodge from us and request us to delete your information or decline us to hold your information in the first place then we may be unable to continue the transaction and unfortunately we’d have to cancel your holiday.  Any monies paid would be forfeit. 

You are always able to opt-out of certain communications such as our Newsletter.

If you want to unsubscribe or opt-out of communications from us, send an email to us at info@bookpackrelax.com. We will respond within 48 hours.

Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for removing personally identifiable information from the lists of any 3rd-party who has previously been provided your information in accordance with this Policy.
